Modern investors suffer from fragmented visibility. With assets siloed across crypto wallets, brokerage accounts, government portals (EPF/NPS), and physical holdings like gold or real estate, calculating true net worth often takes hours of manual spreadsheet updates.

The stakes go beyond inconvenience. Without a unified view, users face unbalanced risk exposure—unaware that their mutual funds and direct stocks might be over-indexed in the same sector—and miss out on the compounding power of clear, goal-aligned rebalancing.

To solve this, we architected InvestMates using a GoLang-based microservices architecture. Go’s native support for goroutines allowed us to build an aggregation engine capable of fetching data from a dozen disparate APIs (Banks, Exchanges, and Govt. Servers) simultaneously rather than sequentially.

Each asset class is managed by a dedicated microservice, ensuring that a volatile spike in Crypto traffic or an API delay from a traditional Bank never impacts the performance of the core user experience. This "decoupled by design" approach provides the reliability of institutional-grade software in a consumer app.
